Surrounding the whole of Montego Bay, the marine reserve is some 15 acres of protected reef, mangrove islands, forests, seagrass beds and a multitude of amazing wildlife.
Gazing across the lagoon residents can watch a huge variety of birdlife. Often spotted flying across the water and exploring the mangroves are herons, sandpipers, egrets, terns, frigate birds and pelicans, many to nest each evening on Bird Island directly opposite The Pinnacle. Below the water can be found grouper, mutton snapper, red and yellowtail snapper, amongst many exquisite tropical species, many enjoying the protected seagrass and reefs that punctuate the reserve.
